A non-surgical route to a more youthful appearance

Dr Cary Fraser has been certified by the official inventor of Vampire Facelift Dr Charles Runels as well as the Cellular Medicine Association to perform this procedure.

Do You Show These Signs of Aging?

1. Skin colour developing a grey twinge due to less blood flow.
2. Facial shape becoming collapsed and droopy as muscle and collagen decrease.
3. Skin texture becoming less smooth, causing a “worn”, “tired” or “droopy” look.

Why choose the Vampire Facelift over Cosmetic surgery?

Cosmetic surgery can remove excess skin and make a person appear younger, but can also be excessive (especially when loss of shape without extra skin is the main problem). Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers lift the skin away from the bone to restore youthful volume and shape. But HA fillers can cause problems near the eye. Also, the injector of HA fillers can chase a wrinkle and create a shape that looks foreign to the person’s face.

How does the Vampire Facelift work?

Platelet-Rich Plasma also known is PRP is found within our blood and contains growth factors which enable our bodies to heal and regenerate which can result in slowing and even reversing the ageing process. It is through extracting and replanting these growth factors that we can target specific areas to encourage the natural healing process to take place. Platelets contain a high content of proteins that aid in healing injured tissue or damaged skin. Upon re-injection, the platelets release their growth factors which trigger surrounding cells to multiply, in turn stimulating repair, increasing volume and rejuvenating the skin.
PRP is not only used for skin rejuvenation, but can also stimulate hair growth using something called ‘micro-needling’. PRP can also be used on sports injuries and arthritis, please enquire directly.

What to expect on the day.

Before the treatment begins any makeup will be removed and the area will be cleansed. A small amount of blood will be taken from your arm. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge that spins the blood at high speed which allows the platelets to separate from the other blood cells. The treatment itself can take up to 30 minutes depending on what area is being treated.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are rare as PRP is naturally sourced from your own body, the only reactions or side effects are typically attached to the injection itself. These side effects can be some mild swelling and bruising from the injection site. Sometimes you may have some slight scratches on the surface of the skin and this should settle within a couple of days.

How long until I can see the benefits?

For skin rejuvenation, we advise that you have 3 sessions which should be taken a month apart. Your skin should feel immediately smoother. However, it is only once the growth factors have become established and start the healing process that real benefits will show. The procedure improves shape, volume, colour, and texture.

Aftercare Procedure

After the treatment avoid using any other product on the skin for 24 hours to reduce any chance of infection. Dr Cary Fraser will provide full, personalised aftercare instructions post procedure.
